Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Education held meeting on National Press Day

Baku -APA. Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Education held a meeting dedicated to the National Press Day on Friday. Minister of Education Misir Mardanov and other officials of the ministry, authorities of the Press Council, heads of media organizations and journalists attended the meeting, APA reports. Addressing the meeting Minister Mardanov spoke about the role of media in society. He said journalists were working in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education and noting both successes and shortcomings in this field. â€œIt helps us to set our work. Azerbaijani education is developing today and every citizen witnesses this development. Even those, who are coming from the developed countries, come out into the open astonishment while hearing about the construction of 1200 schools in 4 yearsâ€. Mardanov said the Ministry of Education keeping the annual tradition awarded 15 journalists who kept close ties with the ministry. The minister presented honorary diplomas and money rewards to the journalists from various televisions, newspapers and information agencies.
APA-Economicsâ€™ Ilhama Isabalayeva was also among the recipients of an award.
