Azad Rahimov: â€œConstruction companies donâ€™t take interest in Youth Townâ€

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“APA. â€œWe have not received positive respond to our proposal for construction of Youth Town. This idea doesnâ€™t interest the construction companiesâ€, said Azad Rahimov, Minister of Youth and Sport at the press-conference on Friday, APA reports. He said despite that Baku Mayorâ€™s Office allocated three-hectare territory in Hovsan settlement for the construction of Youth Town, this issue doesnâ€™t move off deadlock. Rahimov said the ministry had no resources for the construction of Youth Town. â€œOur ministry can support solution of communal problemsâ€. Rahimov touched upon the solution of unemployment problem among the young people. He said labor fairs were repeatedly organized in the regions, but employers were not satisfied with skills and knowledge of young people. â€œThe young people should train themselves and get computer and language skillsâ€. The minister said appropriate measures were taken for an active participation of young people in upcoming presidential elections and the ministry was working together with the Central Election Commission on certain projects. â€œThe young people voting for the first time will receive presents. Slogans are prepared for an active participation of young people in the electionsâ€. Rahimov said special measures were taken to make young people avoid from the bad habits like narcotics and the ministry gave special attention to this issue.
