Famil Alisoy, who is working for a transport company told APa’s Turkey bureau that reduce of the stay time in Turkey by a month caused material damages for them.
“We are obliged to leave the country once a month and spend a great deal of our money on traveling. Every time I leave Turkey I spend the money I collected for the education of my three children. Nakhchivan has only access to Turkey.
We ask Turkish government to take this into account and prolong the stay time of Azerbaijani citizens born in Nakhchivan at least for six months.
Asef Guliyev, Azerbaijani citizen, who works for another transport company, said that a lot of Azeris can not leave Turkey once a month, their stay time expires and they can not leave for Nakhchivan for years.
“People live here in cells. A lot of families can not send their children to schools. Those who are not officially registered, can not receive degrees. The situation is too hard. We ask the Turkish government to prolong the stay time for the residents of Nakhchivan, a strategically important place, at least for six months,” he said.
Turkish Foreign Ministry set a one-month visa free stay for Azerbaijanis in July this year. /APA/
