National Television and Radio Council establishes Experts Group for classifying of films on Azeri TV channels

He said that classification here means demonstration of films by taking age of audience into consideration.
â€œSociety is anxious about the demonstration of films without classification at present. Council receives a lot of appeals regarding it. Some of the applicants do not want their children watch films which do not correspond with their age. It is inexpedient to show films propagating cruelty, sensuality and so on in any time of the day,â€ he said.
Jabiyev said that experience of developed countries will be taken into consideration. He said that Ukraine experience focuses attention for simplicity. The films are being demonstrated due to special categories in all TV channels of the country. 1st group films are intended for mass, 2nd group for limited category, 3rd for elders.
â€œNTRC regards that experience which occupies special place in world practices can also be used in Azerbaijan due to law on television and radio broadcast,â€ he said.
Jabiyev said that group will be established at the Council and specialists-sociologists, psychologists, journalists and so on are intended to be represented there. /APA/
