Azerbaijan to amend mechanism for targeted social assistance benefits

Now the families on low income receive social assistance for 6 months until they find opportunities to earn living. We propose to limit this period. That is, the period of social assistance will be prolonged or shortened depending on the financial position of families. For example, a family may get no earnings for one year, they should receive the assistance for one year. Some other should get the assistance for 2 months, 3 months etc. we need to categorize the families,â€ he added.
