The meeting is focused on legalization of labour of economic immigrants from Philippines, study of experience and prospects of cooperation in this field.
Mr. Alakbarov briefed the guests about social and economic growth in Azerbaijan, saying the number one problem is Armenian occupation of 20% of Azeri territory which left 300,000 people jobless.
At the end of the meeting the parties signed a final protocol.
After the meeting Azerbaijani minister told reporters that Azerbaijan needs to study the lesson the Republic of Philippines learned in labor migration. Under the signed document the parties will exchange expertise in the field of economic migration.
“Azerbaijan is attractive for foreign immigrants. About 700 economic migrants from the Philippines have been registered in Azerbaijan while the figure is much greater in reality,” said Fuzuli Alakbarov.
Marianito Roque added that exchange of expertise will provide good opportunities for the parties. He noted that his country has 80 million population, 10% of which are overseas migrants. /APA-Economics/
