NTRC to further consider broadcast of RTR-Planeta in Azerbaijan

The NTRC chief Nushirevan Maharramli told following the meeting that it was decided to consider the issue in further meetings of the Council.
â€œAs you know, the Russian side has already submitted its proposals to Azerbaijani side. But we have not yet received the document. We are planning to consider the issue at next sittings,â€ Mr. Maharramli said.
The work on a draft intergovernmental agreement on rules and clauses of transmission of Azerbaijani channels in Russia and Russian channels in Azerbaijan has been completed. According to the agreement reached by the working groups in Baku, the next meeting on technical agreement was to be held in Moscow and signing of the agreement was to be discussed. Though the planned meeting did not take place in Moscow, the text of the technical agreement was presented to the Azerbaijani side yesterday. The draft intergovernmental agreement calls for broadcasting of RTR in Azerbaijan and Az TV in Russia on parity. /APA/
