Two cases of influenza A virus identified in Azerbaijan last year

Baku. Sevil Zeynalgizi – APA. “Immune and vitamin deficiency, as well as seasonal changes caused influenza diseases and people with low immunity have a serious illness”, head of influenza laboratory of the Disease Prevention Institute Almaz Asadova told APA. She said no flu epidemic has been observed in Azerbaijan this year, but the cases of catarrh, rheum were identified in the country. “Despite hard winter no influenza virus was identified in Azerbaijan. Only two cases of adenovirus were identified. Influenza diseases caused by this virus are not serious. Main influenza viruses A, B, C were not identified”. Asadova said two caught influenza A virus last year and they recovered after the treatment.

Asadova recommended the people to eat mostly fruits, vegetables, green, garlic, onion, bouillons, soups, and drink tea with lemon because liquid removes toxic substances from the organism. The doctor also recommended to use honey and boiled down juices of grape or mulberry, as well as various syrups for increasing immunity and disease prevention. The people should also wear warm clothing not to catch cold.
