New houses to be built for landslide affected people in Shamakhi region - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Sharifov said relevant organizations were instructed to start the repair works today and the passage was opened for motor cars movement.

The government officials met the local residents in Mughanli, whose houses were seriously damaged by the natural disaster and said these houses couldn’t be repaired. One needs to remove them and resettle the residents to the new houses. “This is an active landslide area and the residents of 46 houses were evacuated to the houses of relatives”.

Sharifov said 55 ha land plot was allocated for the landslide affected people. He said whole village should be resettled and in the first phase only the residents of 46 seriously damaged houses were evacuated.

He said they were continuing inspection and the government would build new houses in Meysari village for the people, who lost their properties during the landslide in Mughanli.

According to Sharifov, experts of the Complex Hydro-Geology and Engineering Geology Expedition of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources started geological research in the area allocated for the construction of new houses. The experts will express their opinion this week and after that the construction work will be projected and financed.

46 new houses, school and medical point will be built in that area.

The government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov visited the landslide areas in Aghsu and Shamakhi today.
