APA reports that chairwoman of the committee Hijran Huseynova told journalists that it would better to take more steps in this direction: “But now Azerbaijani Parliament has its social committee. It also covers the family, women and children affairs. But it would be better to create a new committee of this kind, because this committee will only work in this direction. International experience shows that in the countries, where there are not government organizations addressing the family, women and children affairs, these committees are more powerful at the parliament. But there is both State Committee on this problem and parliamentary committee on social policy in Azerbaijan. Maybe that’s why there is no such committee in the Azerbaijani Parliament. But in the future, it may be created.”
