Powerful X5 class solar flare occurred yesterday

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. The magnetic spots having complex configuration in eastern side of the Sun caused powerful X5 class flare. The eruptions were directed to the Earth, Namig Jalilov, Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, told APA. According to him, the speed of the eruptions was 1000-2000 km/h. It has been the most powerful flare occurred since the last year: â€œThe last such flare was recorded on August 7, 2011. Generally, due to integral energy in roentgen radiation, the flares are divided into 4 places. The strongest of them is X flareâ€.

Jalilov said that the flare caused failure in the communications system of satellite around the Venus. The communication with the satellite was interrupted for a short time. No serious change occurred in international space satellite. People having heart problems are more sensitive to oscillation of magnetic fieldâ€.

The scientist said that the influence of the magnetic flare is felt mostly in polar latitudes. This flare will not impact equatorial area, including Azerbaijan. The peak point on the flare occurred yesterday. Its impact will gradually decrease in the next 2-3 days.
