Housing conditions of 10615 displaced people improved in Azerbaijan last year

Azerbaijani President signed 1 decree and 6 orders, Azerbaijani Parliament passed 1 law and the Cabinets of Ministers 12 decisions and orders on the social protection of the displaced people last year, says in the annual report of Azerbaijani government which was presented to Azerbaijani parliament, APA reports. The report notes that housing conditions of 2123 families and 10615 displaced people were improved in Azerbaijan in 2011. AZN 168,5 million was allocated for this purpose (AZN 140 million from State Oil Fund, AZN 28,5 million from investment fund) and it is 8,4 times higher than 2003 year.

During the 2004-2011, AZN 17 million was allocated from the reserve fund of Azerbaijani President, AZN 799,4 million from the State Oil Fund and AZN 47 million from the other sources for the improvement of social protection of the displaced people. AZN 863,4 million was spent on construction of 45 settlements and private houses, having all necessary social and technical infrastructure, for 15000 families and more than 68000 displaced people.

Besides, 1218 thousand square meter-70 settlements, estates consisting of multi-storied buildings and private houses were constructed for 21600 families and more than 110 thousand displaced people. 128 schools, 5 musical schools, 42 kindergartens, 46 medical enterprises, 33 communicational houses were also constructed.
