New settlement constructed for landslide-affected residents opened in Azerbaijan – <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

APA’s northern bureau reports that Deputy Emergency Minister Orujali Hajiyev, Responsible employee of the Presidential Administration Arif Novruzov, officials of Guba Region Executive Power and village residents participated in the opening ceremony. In his speech, Deputy Emergency Minister Orujali Hajiyev said that the newly-constructed settlement met all modern standards. According to him, after landslide in Gulazi, the special commission was established in the Cabinet of Ministers by the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev. The commission members and Ministry’s representatives examined the landslide and came to a conclusion on construction of new settlement in Ashagi Atuj for the Gulazi village’s residents. The residents thanked President Ilham Aliyev for attention and care.

The construction of Ashagi Atuj settlement started in July 2010. The settlement was constructed for landslide-affected residents of Ashagi Atuj village of Guba. There are 189 houses in 34 ha settlement. 62 of them are 2-room houses, 107-3 room houses and 20 – 4-room houses. The club, library and recreation park were also built in the settlement. A school for 240 pupils, kindergarten, medical center, post office and other administrative buildings were constructed there.
