The final event of the 9th Republic contest dedicated to mother tongue held at Azerbaijan State National Academic Drama Theater

The ceremony organized by the Ministry of Education and â€œCaghâ€educational foundation was opened with the speech of the head of Azerbaijan-Turkish Private Turkish Lyceumâ€™s Main Office Arif Gomleksiz.

A. Gomleksiz talked about Azerbaijani governmentâ€™s attention to mother tongue and education. He also mentioned Haydar Aliyevâ€™s words and decrees signed by him about mother tongue.
Gomleksiz noted that this contest is the 9th contest and it shows a high value to mother tongue in Azerbaijan. According to him the schoolchildren attended the event have been chosen from various regions of Azerbaijan after several qualification tours.

Gomleksiz said that schoolchildren competed with one another under â€œOur language is our existenceâ€ slogan for 5 nominations (Grammar of Azerbaijani Language, composition, internet sites, poem performing and song performing).He noted that the winners of the competition will represent Azerbaijan at the events to be conducted in Turkey

Then the finalists of the competition performed their songs and poems. The songs and poems performed by schoolchildren were in patriotic spirit.

At the end of the event the winner finalists were chosen and awarded.
