Water level of Kur River crossing through Salyan and Neftchala regions rises rapidly

The water level of Kur River crossing through Salyan and Neftchala regions is continuing rising, Director of Neftchala Specialized Fleet Hydro-meteorological Facility Akbar Hasanov told APA’s Mil-Mughan bureau, According to him, rising of water level is observed in recent years in the part of Kur River crossing from Salyan and Neftchala regions. The water level in the river has risen to 75sm in Salyan and 35sm in Neftchala from February up to now. The reasons of water level rising are precipitations and snow melting. The water discharge ion Kur River is 500 cubic meters. The water level in the river will rise afterwards.

Hasanov said that if Kur’s river rises to 1-1.2 meters, it will cause risk for both regions.
