Azerbaijan’s former education minister Lidiya Rasulova dies - PHOTO

APA reports that Lidiya Rasulova died of disease at the age of 71. The farewell ceremony with her was held today in Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation.
Rasulova was born in 1941. She worked as chairperson of Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation in 1981-1988, minister of social security in 1988-1993, deputy chairperson of Azerbaijan State Science and Technology Committee, minister of education in 1993-1997.
She was a member of Azerbaijani SSR’s Supreme council (9th and 10th calling), member of Supreme Council’s People education and scientific commission, member of USSR’s Supreme Council (11th calling).
Rasulova was awarded with “Shohrat†order.
