3 subsea seismic stations to be installed in Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea in second quarter of 2012

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. 17 new satellite communication telemetric stations were opened at the Republic Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in 2009-2011. 7 of them were opened in 2011.

The Republic Seismological Service Center told APA that it was said at the meeting of the Earth Sciences Department of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. 3 of the stations are located in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (Ordubad, Shahbuz, Heydarabad), 4 in Gobustan, Gabala, Gusar (Hezre) and Guba (Khinalig).

There are 31 satellite communication telemetric stations at the Republic Seismological Service Center.

The devices needed for seismic stations that will be built in Aghdam, Beylegan, Fuzuli and Yardimli were purchased and brought to Azerbaijan last year.

3 subsea seismic stations (Umud, Shahdeniz, Azeri) will be installed in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea in the second quarter of 2012.
