Azerbaijani Minister of Education Misir Mardanov visits Jordan

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva â€“ APA. Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Education Misir Mardanov started its visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on Monday. Mardanov will meet with the Jordanian Prime Minister Nader al-Dahabi, Minister of Education Tayseer Nueimi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Walid Maani and will visit the University of Jordan, University of Science and Technology, as well as other public and private schools. The Azerbaijani minister will be familiarized with the Jordanian Education Initiative, activity of the Education and Technology Center and generally with the education system of Jordan. The Azerbaijani and Jordanian will discuss the issues of bilateral relations and will exchange information about the education systems of both countries.

IT and ICT implementation in the schools, foreign languages studies, trainings for the teachers, drawing of education schedules in the secondary schools, student exchanges between the two countries, mutual recognition of diplomas, student fellowship and others are among the issues to be discussed toward the cooperation in the field of education. The officials will also discuss the implementation of the â€œExecutive Program on cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the fields of education, science, culture and art, youth and sport, health and media in 2007-2009â€. The program is one of the 15 bilateral documents signed during the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyevâ€™s visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in July, 2007,
The Azerbaijani education officials, as well as head of the higher and secondary schools will be on a visit to Jordan until April 24.
