State Student Admission Commission begins receiving applications for masterâ€™s degree of Azerbaijani high schools from today

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva â€“ APA. State Student Admission Commission (SSAC) has begun receiving applications for masterâ€™s degree, chairwoman of SSAC Maleyka Abbaszadeh said at the press conference that the applications will be received online by April 20. The entrance exam will consist of two stages. The first stage will be held on May 3. Logics, informatics and foreign language will be assessed in this stage. For the first time bachelors will answer questions in informatics. There will be 50 questions in logics, 25 in foreign language and 25 in informatics. The bachelors gaining not less than 50 points in the first stage, including not less than 20 points in logics, 10 in informatics and 10 in foreign language, will pass the second stage.

Maleyka Abbaszadeh said vacancies had not been given to them. SSAC will announce the vacancies after the first stage and the bachelors succeeding in the first stage will participate in the second stage. The bachelors passing the second stage must choose and confirm the program and specialities in their e-applications. Every bachelor can add to the application nearly 10 profession codes of same acceptance program in free and fee-paying schools of public and private universities.

The applicantâ€™s skills will be examined via 50 test-tasks in the second phase. The applicants will pass the written examinations within 809 programs. Abbaszadeh said the second phase of the examination would take place on June 21. Depending on the number of applicants, the date can be changed. The bachelor must gain at least 75 points in two phases and 20 points in the profession examinations (test, essay, translation, written interview).

SSAC chairwoman said for the first time, the bachelors could print admission issues themselves. The acceptance of applications for the Masterâ€™s programs of the Turkish universities in 2009-2010 academic year is started on Monday. 12 planning places in 9 directions were allocated for the Azerbaijani students in the Masterâ€™s programs of the Turkish universities.
