A US Alumni Fair has been organized in Baku through the joint efforts of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, EducationUSA Azerbaijan, and the American Councils for International Education, APA reports.
More than 45 US universities and educational organizations were represented at the fair. More than 50 Azerbaijani alumni and employees of the US Embassy also took part in the event.
It was noted that participants had the opportunity to obtain firsthand information about undergraduate, graduate and exchange programs offered by Yale, Harvard, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon University and other prestigious American higher education institutions.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, US Chargé d’Affaires in Azerbaijan Amy Carlon emphasized that higher education in the United States is attracting increasing interest among Azerbaijani students.
“Higher education in the United States remains a preferred destination for Azerbaijani students, and in recent years we have witnessed significant growth in this area,” Carlon said.
The event also featured EducationUSA advising services, Virtual American Spaces, and exchange programs funded by the US government.
In addition, consular officers of the US Embassy held a special presentation on student visas, providing information about the application process and answering questions from prospective students and their families.
