24 classrooms of the elementary school named after Heydar Aliyev in Kahramanmaraş province of Türkiye, which was opened today already receive hundreds of students, APA's Türkiye correspondent reports.
In addition to classrooms, the 3-story building has a canteen and a library, as well as special entertainment areas.
Note that, within the framework of the social and residential construction project in Kahramanmaraş, the State Housing Construction Agency of Azerbaijan (MIDA) is acting as the representative of the Azerbaijani government. The total area of the "Azerbaijan" residential complex here is 32 hectares, and the total cost of the project has been determined to be USD 100 million.
The construction process has been completed in the area of the 11th and 12th blocks of the residential area, which are currently being completed, and the construction of residential buildings is being continued in the 7th and 8th blocks, taking into account all seismic resistance requirements.
Overall, the project includes the construction of 71 buildings comprising more than 1,300 apartments with 2, 3, and 4 rooms.

An opening ceremony of an elementary school named after Heydar Aliyev was held in Türkiye's Kahramanmaraş, which was affected by devastating earthquakes, APA's Türkiye correspondent reports.
The opening ceremony was attended by Azerbaijan's Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev and his Turkish counterpart Yusuf Tekin.
Emin Amrullayev stated that the brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Türkiye is not just in words but also in action. He noted that the two countries have always shown unity, which is crucial for the strengthening of the entire Turkish world.
The Minister also congratulated all the residents of the city on the opening of the school: "I wish success to the teachers and students here. I would like this school, named after Heydar Aliyev, to be twinned with a school in Azerbaijan, and for student exchanges to be carried out."
