Türkiye intends to build a vocational education institution in Aghdam

The Turkish side has put forward an initiative to build a vocational education institution in the liberated territories, in Aghdam. This issue is currently high on the agenda, said Prime Minister Ali Asadov at the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, APA reports.

Ali Asadov noted that, in general, there are strong traditions in the field of education: “Thousands of Azerbaijani and Turkish citizens study at higher education institutions in both countries.

However, although some graduates of Azerbaijani universities wish to continue their education in Türkiye, they are unable to do so. The reason is that the diplomas of those universities are not recognized by Türkiye’s Council of Higher Education. The Azerbaijani side hopes for a positive resolution of this issue. To provide an additional report on our cooperation in the field of education, the floor will be given to the Deputy Minister of Science and Education.”
