Türkiye-Azerbaijan University will be an important example for the Turkic world, Erol Özvar, Chairman of the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Türkiye, who is on a visit to Baku said, APA reports.
According to him, further increasing the number of such projects that will increase cooperation in the field of higher education in the Turkic world is Türkiye's biggest priority.
Erol Özvar underlined that this project is one of the most important signs of cooperation between the two countries in the field of science and technology.
The chairman of the Higher Education Council emphasized that Türkiye-Azerbaijan University started its activities with the programs of three well-known universities of Türkiye - Middle East Technical University (ODTU), Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and Hacettepe University.
Note that on February 19, 2024, the "Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of Türkiye-Azerbaijan University (TAU)" was signed between the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan and the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Türkiye (HEC) in Ankara.
