On September 25, the I Russia-Azerbaijan Science and Education Forum kicked off at the Intellectual Center — Fundamental Library of Moscow State with the attendance of Russia's Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Science and Education Firudin Gurbanov, and the President of the Russian Rectors' Union and Rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Science and Education told APA.
Over 70 representatives from higher education institutions of both countries participated in the forum. Representatives from relevant state agencies and the academies of sciences of both Russia and Azerbaijan delivered congratulatory speeches and lectures.
Following this, within the framework of the forum, sessions and expert meetings were held, the development of direct connections between higher education and scientific institutions in Azerbaijan and Russia, key areas of cooperation in science, and opportunities for collaboration between educational institutions and the private sector were discussed.
Additionally, a meeting of the Russia-Azerbaijan Association of Higher Education Institutions took place during the forum.
Within the framerowk of the visit, Deputy Minister Firudin Gurbanov met with Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Deputy Minister of Education Andrey Korneev. These meetings focused on the current state of bilateral cooperation and future development prospects.
