With the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and the organization of the “STEAM Azerbaijan” project, the International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival (SAF 2025) will be held at the Baku Expo Center from November 17 to 19, the Ministry of Science and Education told APA.
It was stated that the preparation process for the festival is currently in its final stage. The teams that will participate in the competitions are continuing their preparations for the final stage and are testing their projects.
As part of the STEAM Azerbaijan Festival, being held for the 5th time this year, competitions in 16 main and 2 subcategories will take place.
In total, more than 5,000 candidates registered to participate in SAF 2025. A total of 1,415 participants qualified for the final stage, 212 of whom represent 19 foreign countries. Thus, including judges and international participants, a total of 22 countries, together with Azerbaijan, will be represented at the festival.
The main purpose of the festival is to promote STEAM-based education, develop 21st-century skills among learners, identify creative young people, and support the development of innovative projects and solutions.
It should be noted that STEAM is a model that involves the integrated teaching of five main fields. This approach is based on the idea of teaching science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics together.
