With the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and organized by the "STEAM Azerbaijan" project, the International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival kicked off at the Baku Expo Center from November 17 to 19, APA reports.
The official opening ceremony of the festival was attended by high-ranking representatives of government bodies, representatives of international organizations, guests from various countries, as well as leaders of private companies.
Within the framework of the festival, thousands of students, university students, mentors, and experts from more than 20 countries are participating across 18 competition categories. The competition categories cover robotics, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, drone and satellite technologies, arts, innovative projects, and engineering.
A total of over 5,000 participants registered for the festival, and more than 1,400 participants qualified for the final stage. Among them, 202 represent 19 foreign countries. Overall, participants from 22 countries are represented.
The International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival will continue until November 19.
