An international scientific conference titled “The Founders and Lessons of the First Turkological Congress: History and Modernity,” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, has begun its work at the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), APA reports.
The participants of the event familiarized themselves with a database dedicated to the First Turkological Congress, a virtual exhibition, as well as books published by ANAS in connection with the anniversary, displayed in the foyer of the ANAS Presidium.
A film dedicated to the First Turkological Congress was then screened.
The event continued with panel sessions.
At the international scientific conference, presentations were delivered by renowned scholars from Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and other countries, in addition to Azerbaijan.
The conference will conclude its work on February 28.
