bp publishes books of five more authors

Libraff bookstore presented books by five Azerbaijani authors published by bp, APA reports.

The event was attended by the chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, People's writer Anar, bp representative Tamam Bayatlı, and several well-known writers.

Tamam Bayatlı noted that as part of a project launched in 2022 to support local writers, four authors' books had previously been published: "This year, we have published the books of five writers, one novelist and four poets. BP has always shown concern for Azerbaijani literature. This project will help young writers showcase their potential and inspire them to create. bp has always supported and will support Azerbaijani literature, history, and culture."

People's writer Anar thanked bp for accepting AWU's appeal and supporting the publication of young writers' books. He emphasized that regardless of the attitude toward the organization they lead, all talented young people are valuable to AWU.

Later, AWU's secretary, poet Ilgar Fahmi, and chairman of AWU's Youth Council, poet Farid Huseyn, spoke about the importance of the book and the goals of the project, congratulating the young authors.

Then, the authors were given the floor. They thanked bp and the Writers' Union and recited their poems.

It should be noted that as part of the project, the poetry collections In One of the Familiar Streets ("Tanış Küçələrin Birində") by Qismət, March 3 ("3 mart") by Ruslan Dost Əli, Evening in Bayil ("Bayılda Axşamçağı") by Ulucay Akif, White Square ("Ağ Kvadrat") by El Roman, and the short stories and novel collection Seekers of the Night ("Gecəni Axtaranlar") by Rəvan Cavid were published.

The total cost of the project, including the publication of the books, is approximately 64,850 manat (38,147 USD).

It is notable that in 2022, BP also published the books of four young Azerbaijani authors.
