An event dedicated to "Last Bell" was held at secondary school No. 4 named after N. Ganjavi in Khankendi city, Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdere and Khojaly districts told APA's Karabakh bureau.
After 37 years, the "Last Bell" event was held at the secondary school in the liberated Khankendi city. On the graduation day, the "Last Bell" event, which did not take place at the time, was also celebrated at the secondary school for the graduates of 1988. The event was attended by Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, Aghdere and Khojaly districts, employees of the Ministry of Science and Education, school staff, students' parents, families of martyrs and war veterans.
On the "Last Bell" day, the National Anthem was played, and the dear memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly regions Sabuhi Gahramanov said that the measures taken under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev to develop Azerbaijani education play an indispensable role in the upbringing of young people as literate and true citizens. He noted that today, worthy, patriotic young people are being raised for the future of Azerbaijan. Sabuhi Gahramanov also said that all conditions have been created for young people to study in the specialties considered a priority for our country in the world's leading higher education institutions.
The "Last Bell" events continued with musical and artistic performances by schoolchildren.
It should be noted that this year, 14 students graduated from secondary school No. 4 named after N. Ganjavi in the city of Khankendi.
