On June 18, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev visited the national pavilion of China, represented by about 20 leading higher education institutions, within the framework of the “Global Sustainable Development Congress” ongoing in Istanbul, Türkiye, APA reports citing the Ministry of Science and Education.
Detailed information was provided to the Azerbaijani delegation regarding the activities of the higher education institutions represented at the Chinese pavilion.
Subsequently, a business meeting was held with 5 higher education institutions from China represented by their leadership. During the meeting, broad prospects for cooperation between the higher education institutions of the two countries were discussed. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of cooperation and integration in the fields of technical sciences, engineering, research, and development. At the same time, opportunities for mutual cooperation in the areas of mutual student and teacher exchange, development of joint programs, as well as increasing the international competitiveness of higher education institutions were noted.
Recall that last week, within the framework of Minister Emin Amrullayev’s visit to Chengdu, China, a meeting was held with the Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, Yin Hejun. During the meeting, prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of science were discussed, and letters of intent were signed to promote mutual cooperation in the fields of science, technology, and artificial intelligence.
