On September 22, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev and Minister of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye Yusuf Tekin attended the opening ceremony of the new building of Baku Turkish Anatolian High School, Ministry of Science and Education told APA.
The event began with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Türkiye, followed by a national folklore program.
In his speech, Birol Akgün, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, emphasized that Azerbaijan–Türkiye relations are based on the principles of brotherhood and noted that cooperation between the two countries in the field of education makes a significant contribution to the intellectual development of the region in the long term. The ambassador described the commissioning of the new school building as a vivid example of this strategic partnership.
Minister of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye Yusuf Tekin stated in his speech that education is one of the most important factors strengthening unity between nations and noted that joint education projects between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are consistently expanding. He added that joint programs supporting the acquisition of modern knowledge and skills by young people will be further developed in the future.
Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev, in his speech, highlighted the strengthening mutual trust and support in the field of education between the two countries year by year and stated that the new building of Baku Turkish Anatolian High School is an important step demonstrating the sustainable nature of this cooperation. The minister also emphasized the support provided by the heads of both states for the development of cooperation in science and education.
As part of the ceremony, a commemorative tree was planted, a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, and the guests were acquainted with the new school building.
