On June 8, within the framework of the 9th Meeting of the Education Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev met with President of the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Türkiye (YÖK) Erol Özvar and Minister of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye Yusuf Tekin, the Ministry of Science and Education told the APA.
It was reported that during the meeting with Erol Özvar, the current state of cooperation in the field of higher education between the two countries and initiatives planned for future implementation were discussed.
“In particular, views were exchanged on expanding cooperation between the higher education institutions of both countries, implementing joint scientific research projects, as well as cooperation opportunities within the framework of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University,” the statement said.
“It was also noted that during the meeting with Yusuf Tekin, the current state of cooperation in the fields of general and vocational education between the two countries and initiatives planned for future implementation were discussed. In particular, views were exchanged on the general education institution planned to be opened in Istanbul, as well as cooperation opportunities between the vocational education institutions of the two countries,” the statement added.
