The "Education in Malaysia" exhibition opened in Baku today, APA reports.
During his speech at the exhibition, Malaysian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ahmad Kamrizamil Mohd Riza said that his country aims to host 250,000 foreign students and become an international education center.
He said that the exhibition reflects the rapidly developing bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia in the field of education.
"Currently, more than 50 Azerbaijani students are studying in Malaysia, which demonstrates the growing interest in Malaysian higher education," the diplomat emphasized.
He noted that education in Malaysia is high-quality, safe and accessible: "The exhibition serves to strengthen academic cooperation and expand internationally recognized educational opportunities for Azerbaijani students."
It was noted that Malaysia is considered a very attractive country for higher education, distinguished by its high-quality education, strong international rankings, safe and hospitable environment, affordable living costs and the absence of a visa regime for Azerbaijani citizens.
