62 foreign students granted scholarships to study in Azerbaijan for 2025–2026 academic year

For the 2025–2026 academic year, 62 foreign citizens have been granted the right to study at higher education institutions in Azerbaijan within the framework of the “Intergovernmental Scholarship Programs” (ISP), the  State Agency for Science and Higher Education told APA.

It was noted that 23 of them are citizens of the People's Republic of China, 11 are from the Republic of Kazakhstan, 4 from the Republic of Tajikistan, 4 from the Kyrgyz Republic, and 20 from the Federal Republic of Somalia. This figure represents a 32 percent increase compared to the previous year.

Within the framework of the program, foreign students will study at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels at the following institutions: Azerbaijan University of Languages, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan Medical University, Baku Higher Oil School, Baku State University, Baku Engineering University, Baku Slavic University, Nakhchivan State University, Uzeyir Hajibeyli Baku Music Academy, and Khazar University.

The academic programs will cover fields such as humanities and social sciences, education, medicine, economics and management, natural sciences, technical and technological specialties, as well as culture and arts.

Note that the education of foreign citizens in Azerbaijan is carried out in a more accessible and systematic manner through the “Study in Azerbaijan” platform.
