Gurbanli noted that perpetrators of the Nardaran incident will be punished.
“Some of them were detained, investigation is underway and people related with them are being determined. Use of arms against police in Nardaran is regarded as terrorist act. Nardaran residents should prevent such acts, Azerbaijani community supports the measures taken for the protection of national security and public order,” he said.
Gurbanli touched on various flags’ being hoisted in Nardaran.
“There is a law on flag in Azerbaijan. Flags can be hoisted in sport competitions and other events, and it is regulated by the law. Flags and religious attributes, spread and promotion of which are prohibited by law, are being used in Nardaran. Slogans are being written on walls in the center of Nardaran. These acts are prohibited by law. The use of various flags is running contrary to the law,” he added.
