Pilgrims left for Arafat at night. They will stand in Arafat from the afternoon till the Maghrib Adhan and then be heading towards Muzdalifah to spend the night there and collect stones to throw at the Devil (Satan).
Mount Arafat is a granite hill in the plain of Arafat, about 21 km southeast of Mecca. 454 meters in height, the mount is believed to be the site where Adam and Eve met once again after being expelled from Jannah (Paradise).
According to the rules of Hajj, on the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah pilgrims must stand in prayer in the plain of Arafat from sunrise till the Maghrib Adhan.
