Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Chairman of Caucasian Muslims Board (CMB) Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh has commented on the ban imposed on performing religious ceremonies in mosques by persons received religious education abroad through non-state line in Azerbaijan.
Allahshukur Pashazadeh told APA that this issue can be brought up again.
He noted that the main criteria of the CMB as a religious center on the appointment of believers is the loyalty to the Motherland, devotion to religion and respect for national and religious values: “This issue can be brought up, if there is no doubtful points.”
Sheikh also touched on the issue of re-registration of Islamic organizations: “Religious communities will maintain their legal force even after not being re-registered. According to new amendments to the relevant law, re-registration of religious organizations is on the agenda: “According to the law, re-registration of Islamic communities is carried out on the recommendation of the religious center - Caucasian Muslims Board. 573 religious communities have been registered on our recommendation up to now. About 300 of them have been re-registered. The presentations of about 60 communities submitted to the Committee are pending. Currently, about 15 million documents of religious communities are being considered in the Board. In fact, specific facts are taken into account for the recommendation. The CMB appoints a believer to the registered communities.”
