Biased attitude of Freedom House and the other European organizations, which are indifferent to Khojaly genocide, is not clear,” said chairman of Caucasian Muslim Board (CMB) Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh addressing the First International Baku Forum on “State and Religion: Strengthening tolerance in the changing world”, APA reports.
Allahshukur Pashazadeh said that a church was constructed for the Christians in Baku, even for the Catholic community, which has fewer representatives: “Another example of the tolerance is arrival of the Armenian Catholicos in Baku.”
The chairman said that many countries should follow the example of the religious tolerance in Azerbaijan.
Sheikh-ul-Islam also noted that if there were 18 mosques in Azerbaijan after the collapse of the USSR, now this number has reached 2 000.
