The fifth meeting of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO) and religious confessions in Azerbaijan dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Remembrance Day was held, APA reports.
The meeting began with the performance of the National Anthem and the recitation of the Holy Quran.

The publication Call to the People of Qibla was presented at the event.
Afterward, a joint statement of the religious confessions in Azerbaijan was announced.
Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Musa Gasimli spoke about the restoration work in the liberated territories: “Along with the 44-day Patriotic War, our mosques, synagogues, and churches were also liberated from occupation. Remembrance Day reminds us circumstances under which our lands were freed. From his very first address, President Ilham Aliyev declared that our lands would be liberated, and he achieved this through military means. It is our victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, who bestowed this day upon us.”
Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations, Sahib Nagiyev, emphasized that during the 44-day Patriotic War, Azerbaijan demonstrated an example of unity to the entire world.
Chairman of the Mountain Jews Religious Community, Milikh Yevdayev, noted that after liberating their lands, Azerbaijan did not covet even an inch of Armenian territory and expressed gratitude to his ancestors for choosing Azerbaijan as a home for Jews.
Members of Parliament and heads of religious confessions then honored the memory of the martyrs and discussed the significance of the achieved victory.
