“We had to wait for six hours at Saudi Arabia airport. We were given tickets, but the seats were not shown on the receipts. We have arrived in Baku, our baggage is in Saudi Arabia. It is not known when it will come. Some of the baggage did not contain labels showing the owner. This is irresponsibility.”
Head of Azerbaijani Hajj mission – chief of international relations department of the Caucasian Muslims Board Mugaddas Payizov confirmed to APA the delay of cargo. He said it happened, since the pilgrims brought too much things.
“We were obliged first to take the pilgrims to Baku, then their cargo. Today it will be known when the cargo will arrive,” he said.
Commenting on the lack of seat numbers on the receipt, Payizov said all the seats are similar. Mugaddas Payizov also spoke about the delay of planes. He said they delayed for an hour or two.
Mugaddas Payizov added that the air company that offered services to the Caucasian Muslims Board was owned by France.
2600 Azerbaijanis have performed Hajj pilgrimage this year.
