"As a result of the implementation of the Black Sea submarine cable project, the electricity systems of Romania, Azerbaijan and Hungary will be connected. This, in turn, will connect Europe with the entire South Caucasus region," said Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili at the plenary meeting held in Bucharest on December 17 on the signing ceremony of the “Agreement on a strategic partnership in the field of green energy development and transmission between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary” APA reports

Garibashvili noted that Georgia, as a reliable transit partner, was one of the main transit links in the transportation of hydrocarbon resources of the Caspian basin to the West.

"Implementation of this project opens new opportunities for the development of strategic partnership among our countries," said Garibashvili.
