Transit cargo through railway increased by 11% in Azerbaijan last year

4 584,5 thousand tons of transit cargos have been transported in Azerbaijan last year through railway, and this is 11% more in annual comparison, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC told APA-Economics.

This figure was at the level of 4 130,8 thousand tons in 2020.

According to the information, the railways have carried out 7 434,9 thousand tons of international cargo (import-export), and this is 3,2% less in annual comparison.

Note that volume of international cargo through railway was at the level of 7 683,4 thousand tons in 2020
