"The main target is to provide a return of our compatriots who were forced to leave their homes 30 years ago to modern villages and cities with high amenities. In this sense, a smart village built in Zangilan is the first in the CIS area and differs from other smart villages in the world", said Inam Karimov, Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture at the international conference on the theme of “Innovative approach to the development of cities and rural areas: smart cities and villages”, APA-Economics reports.
He highlighted that digitalization, the use of alternative energy, the electronification of public services, environmental protection, and waste management is being implemented in a complex manner in the smart village: "Therefore, a smart village built in Aghali can be considered a model of Azerbaijan in the world. This approach is stressed and acknowledged by the members of international organizations repeatedly, voiced by prestigious international tribunes."
"The smart village is not only the infrastructure and residential area; it is a lifestyle in the first place. Because the integration of technological innovations into a person's daily life forms a new way of life. The reconciliation of technology and social life makes Smart village models a requirement of today”, noted I. Karimov.
