The restoration of our liberated territories is a very unique case, Special Representative of President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district Aydin Karimov said in his remarks at the 2nd National Urban Forum held in Baku, APA reports.
"We returned to those territories after 30 years of occupation. Cultural, historical and all other monuments were destroyed. Therefore, we had a great obligation there," he added.
Aydin Karimov said that there were a number of important nuances for the sustainable restoration of the liberated cities: "Because, at the same time, we must protect our cultural heritage. This is a very complicated issue. For example, Shusha, as the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, requires very careful planning."
