During the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku, Heydar Aliyev International Airport successfully ensured uninterrupted and coordinated operational management under conditions of high passenger traffic, the airport told APA-Economics.

From May 15 to 24, the airport served a total of 194,793 passengers. More than 100,000 of them were arriving passengers, while 94,000 were departing passengers.

Taking into account the international delegations, government officials, and forum participants arriving in Baku within the framework of WUF13, an enhanced operating regime was implemented at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in the areas of operational coordination, passenger services, and transport connections.

In order to ensure the comfortable, safe, and uninterrupted movement of passengers, special transport routes were organized, additional mechanisms were activated, and operational service solutions were implemented. At the same time, preventive measures were taken to effectively manage passenger flow within the terminal and increase service flexibility.

Heydar Aliyev International Airport continues its activities to ensure high operational sustainability during international events, maintain passenger satisfaction, and provide a safe travel experience in accordance with international service standards.
