One of the main transport directions during WUF13 is the implementation of direct transportation from Heydar Aliyev International Airport to transport interchange centers located in the city center, said Vugar Aslanov, head of the transport department of the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operating Company, at a briefing on the presentation of the transport management plan during WUF13, APA-Economics reports.
V. Aslanov noted that these transportation services will be organized in a 24-hour uninterrupted mode, and the relevant schedules will be shared in advance with participants and the public.
“The second direction is the implementation of direct transportation from the airport to the event venue. The third direction is the organization of direct transportation from transport interchange centers located within the city to the event venue. These centers have mainly been selected in areas close to hotels. In areas not close to hotels, additional stops will be designated to ensure the comfortable and uninterrupted transportation of people. The fourth direction is the integration of public transport into this system. Thus, a special route will operate 24 hours a day from the center located near the Koroglu metro station, and passengers using public transport will be transported directly to the event venue. In connection with the event, 9 city transport interchange centers have been identified, 2 regular intra-city bus lines will be used, and a total of 67 intra-city stops will be involved. As for the airport, 6 regular bus lines will operate. Transportation of participants will be ensured through 9 transport interchange centers and 2 regular bus lines. These transport interchange centers are: Shikh, Icherisheher, Nariman Narimanov, Izmir, 28 May, Ganjlik, White City, Seabreeze, and Koroglu,” he added.
