The construction of the section of the Alat-Astara-Islamic Republic of Iran state border highway up to the state border with Iran by the Azerbaijan Highway State Agency is about to be completed, APA reports.
The project covers the 3.05 km section starting from the 204th kilometer section of the Alat-Astara-Islamic Republic of Iran state border highway.
According to the information, the width of the shoulder of the road is 3.75 m, which is built in accordance with technical grade I, the width is 26.5 meters, the width of the separating lane is 4 meters, and the width of the road is 4 lanes, each of which is 3.75 meters wide.
Note that the construction of the approach road to the bridge is being continued by Iran.
According to the " Construction Rules and Regulations", construction of the road and the bridge under the supervision of the Agency's management will ensure smooth and safe movement of motor vehicles going in the opposite direction to the neighboring country along the North-South transport corridor. In addition, it will ensure the movement of motor vehicles without entering the city center of Astara, which is important in terms of the comfort and safety of both the population and drivers using the road.
