“In accordance with the signed agreement, border and customs control on the territory of Azerbaijan will be carried out on the train at the Boyuk Kesik station without passengers disembarking. For this purpose, a 60-minute stop is envisaged at the station," Azer Farajov, Head of the Passenger Transportation Department of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC, said in an interview with APA-Economics.
“On the territory of Georgia, similar border and customs inspections will be conducted at the Gardabani station, where a 60-minute stop is also planned. Special workplaces have been allocated in each carriage for border and customs officers. This will allow the procedures to be carried out in a more convenient and systematic manner,” he noted.
