The total resource requirement for this year under the new UN Cooperation Framework, within the priorities of the first Results Group on Inclusive Socio-Economic Growth and the Promotion of Human Development, exceeds 3.67 million US dollars, Anna Soave, Head of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) in Azerbaijan, said at the meeting of the High-Level Joint Steering Committee on the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework, APA-Economics reports.
She noted that 1.67 million US dollars of this amount is currently available, of which 500,000 US dollars has been allocated by the Government of Azerbaijan for this year to support the implementation of activities and the realization of priorities.
Anna Soave expressed hope that, within the Joint Work Plan, the UN agencies and government partners will work together to mobilize the remaining resources necessary to implement all planned activities.
