Azerbaijan sets new requirements for passenger transportation by taxi cars, APA reports.

The taxi ordering service is a paid service associated with receiving an order from a person wishing to order a taxi car and transferring it to a person who carries out regular transportation using telecommunications means, it is reflected in the amendment to the law “On Road Transport”.

A taxi ordering operator will be a legal entity or individual entrepreneur who provides taxi ordering services to persons carrying out passenger transportation using taxi cars.

Taxi order operators must carry out state registration of personal data information systems and comply with requirements regarding the protection of personal data.

Taxi order operators must ensure the transfer in real time of information about the driver to the information system of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport in order to monitor compliance with the driver’s work and rest schedules, the list of which for each taxi order is approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
